Specifics:
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
- The creation of an e-zine feature on the front page of Conquer Club.
Specifics:
- See that empty space beneath the introduction to the website? Put in a scrollable e-zine sort of thing. While it won't be as in depth as the various newsletters that are distributed on this site and will by no means replace them, but rather offer a snippet of what the various groups on CC do and have to offer.
For example, It could focus on a new map that has entered the Final Forge and give people who are unfamiliar with the foundry an idea of what's coming up. Than perhaps a link to the most recent newsletter with more info on the various in work maps.
It could do a spotlight on a clan, or even a specific player.
It would by no means be something that updates every day, I'm think maybe twice a week. It would also be a great venue to have special focus weeks and look in-depth at a section of CC.
It is by no means to be anything complex, perhaps a graphic and a scrolling page with a basic format.
This will improve the following aspects of the site:
- The possibilities are endless for the various bits of news and features that comprise CC. While the newsletters do a great job, they don't attract new people into their area of specialty. This feature will attract more people into the community as it creates an easier access to information for all players, not just those active in the forum.
It will strengthen community ties and show people who are non-community active members that there is a world behind CC and it will encourage them to partake. Whereas the allure of the basic "Forum" button is somewhat lacking.
It will make people more aware of what is going on with the site. For example, people are critical of map revamps but don't usually know about the revamp until its near completed (See Germany). This will give high profile endeavors like such a chance to make the public aware before its too late.
