I could possibly...

I do think a "newsletter" or at least mailing list of some sort might not be a bad idea

How about a usergroup?
Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

I still like the callouts thread idea (with all those added bells and whistles ;) ), if that's what you were indicating.

why not a user group with monthly tournaments for everyone
that way we get our privacy but the tournaments provide publicity

IMHO a thread in the callouts forum would do.

Of course, there can also be all those bells and whistles in addition to the thread.

Hey n00blet, provided that the idea is yours, what about opening a thread in the callouts forum for advertising AA games?

And maybe another thread to register rule offenders so they can be kept out of this kind of games

I think he said he didn't feel like he would have enough time to keep it updated.

I don't know if I would at this time either, I have midterms the next two weeks, my CC time will be limited.

I'd love to see a Callouts thread, I just can't make one myself with any hope of keeping it updated. If anyone wants to undertake that, more power to ya! :D

I love this suggestion... this type of idea is one of the reasons I love Same Time Risk in the Risk 2 computer game. I think that this suggestion would add a lot of potential strategy to the site :)

If no one has done it by this weekend, I'll put one up. I just have midterms Thursday, and Friday...

Multiple turns to try and take a country.

Multiple turns to get across a map.

Multiple turns to build up a solid defense against an oncoming rush.

No: "turn-in for 50 dudes and storm across the board" for the win...

The only downside to this would be that a game may take long in the end. If not being UN-WINNABLE due to someone attacking one and someone retreating one every turn. You'd really have to use your brain to try and corner someone.

None-the-less, my name's Jester and I support this idea.

In my experience from test games, they start much slower, but they tend to not get stalled like UA games do.Without worrying about storm attacks, players tend to keep game always rolling, and approaching the end.

Great! 3 spots left. Anyone else wants to try an AA City Mogul game?

Again... What happens in the end-game when someone is attacking a defender and moves forwards one space, and the defender attacks backwards on their turn moving away one space?

I can easily see this happening on 75% or more of the maps on CC. It would be endless. <--- This is of course assuming the game is not lopsided, in that case it doesn't matter anyways. I'm talking a normal at least somewhat balanced game.
