Racial sentiments like this one are precisely why we won't be seeing black nor white armies. Roman numerals, however, equals a great idea.

Even four characters (9999) can look poor on some maps.
While four characters for 9999 looks "poor" (as you noted) I believe that the Roman Numerals look RICH. I'd rather see MMMMMMMMMIM than 9999.
Actually, 9999 = MMMMMMMMMCMXCIX
MrBenn's right. And the Roman numeral system is completely and entirely unnecessary, impractical, and by no means useful. This would be a complete pain for mapmakers everywhere, as they would have to set aside an incredible amount of space for the troop number.
As for the black troop color, would that be replacing slate or what? I suppose you could use "k" for the colorblind letters. The black troops would be cool, but I don't know as if it's worth going to the trouble of making it happen.

Could you post the link to that thread here?

I see my TA Mr. Benn has helped me to see my error! Good catch Benny! That's why we pay you the big bucks!
Still, those roman numerals would make for fun gameplay!

Well said! I challenge MrBenn to the first game on Roman Numeral Armies settings!

So you agree that this is not a great suggestion? Can I move it to rejected then?

Yes I authorize the rejection of this proposal. GOod work!

Make it so, Number 1!

Wow, did you replace lackattack?
