Frinedly Games

Postby kpolski on Thu Nov 22, 2007 2:23 pm

I haven't been on Conquer Club long enough to know if this has been proposed before, but I would like to see the inroduction of a FRIENDLY GAME OPTION when setting up a new map.

Sometimes you just want a fun game where points and rank aren't involved.

-lower ranks not intimidated
-higher ranks don't worry about point loss
-No hang-ups over who's joinging your team
-opportunity to try out new strategies

Less pressure and a more fun game!! :D

friendly stuff

Postby Piestar on Thu Nov 22, 2007 3:07 pm

In case it was not explained to you, because it wasn't, this idea was rejected because it would allow high ranking players to protect their point totals. In essence, the idea of a 'friendly game' would be abused for unfriendly purposes.

A counter suggestion that I do not believe has been offered however, would be a 'Friendly' only membership. It would take awhile for enough 'friendly only' players to join to make finding a game easy, but I for one would join it. (Obviously Friendly Only players could not compete with the regular players, the points situation would irresolvable.)

Will this happen? I doubt it. The percentage of people who would want friendly-only games wouldn't warrant the effort to create a parallel system, but it is far more likely then allowing a friendly game option among the general CC population.

I still believe this is a good idea as long as it is regulated or make it so tournament games do not affect rankings

Hey, don't get me wrong, I like the idea as well, it's just good to understand why it's not going to happen. Not only to understand why this option won't be coming down the pipe, but to help you tailor future ideas so that they will be within the realm of possibility...

Friendly Games

Postby kpolski on Thu Nov 22, 2007 6:14 pm

Then the solution is simple.

Option is for Members only and you get a LIMITED number of friendly games each week/month.

2-3 a week should do.

If' you're a points addict you'l be playing over 50 at any time anyway

i do think sooner or later this should be accepted
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.
