Deployment Sorting

This is just a small suggestion that I don't think adds to the game mechanics, so much as it just makes things a bit easier to organize.

How about whenever you go to place your armies, in addition to the standard drop-down list of all territories you own, there are additional drop-down lists of crucial territories. For example, there could be a drop-down list of "borderlands" -- all the territories that border an enemy. Or, a drop-down list of my territories that already have the most armies on them. Maybe a drop-down list of all the territories you own that only have 1 territory on them. The "strongest" list would only be good for when you're ready to barrel through someone, but I think the "border" option would really simplify things. How does that sound to everybody?

The reason I suggest this that there are some maps when you either deploy on the wrong territory or it just gets so tedious to check the names of territories over and over again. I'm specifically thinking of places like Rail USA and Senate. "Where did I want to place my armies again? Was it Dick or Harry?" No disrespect to the makers of these maps, because they're some of my favorites, but the naming system in place has caused a few mishaps I'm still bitter about. There are also maps where the amount of territories you own gets to be pretty huge, when you're really only using the 3 or 4 that border your enemies.

That would REALLY clutter things up, and would confuse people to have multiple drop down lists like that. "Am I looking at the borderland dropdown list, or something else? I don't know!" type thing...
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

I think clickable maps would solve this much better than multiple picklists.

I agree. That would probably be too much clutter for most people. It would be a nice Greasemonkey script though. Talk to some of the coders. Maybe you could get something started.
