fog amendment for team games

Postby benjikat on Mon Oct 29, 2007 2:18 am

* Suggestion Idea:

At present you get to see all your teammates armies and anything adjacent to them. I suggest that even in team games, the extent of your vision is limited to your armies only.

* Specifics:

This is what happens in standard games so it can't be that hard to code (?)

* Why it is needed:

It would IMHO make team games even more fun as it would promote "fog bluffing" (i.e where you take a bonus without sufficient defense) and team communication even more.

Priority (assuming 1 is lowest): 2

It forces that communication to occur that's all, and would IMO make it more interesting.

agreed
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

Given the number of people who don't ever read much less use chat in games to communicate with their teammates, hiding my teammate's countries from me would just be another strike against fog of war.

Sure it could be another strike against FoW itself, but given its existence, why don't we try to make it as interesting as possible.

I already thought about the pros and cons, and I went with the option that would narrow the wide gap between regular teammates and pickup teammates.

Being in the former category I obviously prefer my suggestion :)

=D>

It seems people are too eager to make the palying field unequal for all players.
