I don't know if it's been suggested before but in a cursory glance at the topics I didn't see anything that looked similar.
Is there a way that a partner in a doubles or triples game (or anyone really) could leave a note in the game log directed at someone and somehow set an alert so that there'd be a little blinking symbol next to that person's name on the map indicating there is a message waiting?
Basically the idea behind this is to avoid those times when you open up a map, take your turn, then scroll down and see your partner just asked you not to do exactly what you did or you just eliminated the only person in the game offering you a truce .
If you have a regular team, I'm sure you can avoid these kinds of problems. When you're teaming with random people though, coordination gets difficult sometimes and this might do a little to improve on a very frustrating problem.
PM's work for this too, but people don't utilize them as much and they're not as game-specific as this in-game-alert would be.
Thoughts?
