Allow player to leave feedback after elimination (merged)

Postby Dr. Jim on Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:53 am

Suggestion:
One should have the ability to leave feedback as soon as one is eliminated from a game.
At the moment, one cannot leave feedback until the game is finished. This can be anywhere from a few minutes to a few days after having been eliminated from a game. By the time the game ends and the person has a chance to add feedback, they may have forgotten about the game or their feedback.
When a person is eliminated from a game, the game is over for them. Therefor, it only makes sense that they should be able to leave their feedback then, rather than after everyone else has finished.

I think it works well the way it it. It gives the person time to cool off before leaving feedback and leads to a more level headed feedback. If someone true deserves a feedback you will remember to put it up. I think you would get more frivolous/retaliatory feedbacks if you could do it immediately. Just my 2 cents

Good point, I didn't happen to think that people might do that. It might be easy to leave something negative when one logs in to see an advantage turned into a loss.

Suggestion: Allow player to leave feedback after elimination

Postby boyer on Mon Jun 04, 2007 9:54 pm

Suggestion Idea:

Allow players to leave player feedback from a game once they have been eliminated.

Specifics:

Same, Once a player is eliminated allow them to leave feedback at that point and not make them wait until the game is over.

Why?:

Several times I have been eliminated and wanted to leave feedback for a player or two in the game. But unfortunately the game went on for a while. When it was over either I forgot to go back to leave the post or when I did remember to check, forgot what I wanted to state and to whom I was going to leave feedback to. This will allow people to give feedback that is relevant and fresh in their minds. Otherwise, people don't leave feedback when they might if they can do it as soon as they're eliminated.

Priority 3(?)

Thanks,
Boyer

Well, I believe this was already rejected, because if you can leave feedback right after you were eliminated/eliminated somebody, you might feel a little hot-headed, and leave bad/inaccurate negative feedback. Waiting a couple of days will give you time to cool off, and think about what you want to say. Try just righting it down on a pad of paper or a sticky note. This way, wicked won't have to go through as many pm's about bogus feedback ;)

I like that idea boyer. Lack's out of town this week, so don't expect an answer right away, but we'll consider it. And thanks for using the form!

It wasn't rejected Wisse. Flat rate games can go on for months! People will leave stupid idiotic nonsense feedback no matter what. People will forget to leave good feedback if they have to wait months.

this would help a lot because I sometimes forget about the feedback by the time the game is over (if I have already lost)

Yes, people may leave bad feedback, but I believe they can take it back. But what if the person after a couple of days forgets to leave the bad feedback that was necessary to alert people to the person's actions. Yes they can leave bad feedback, but they can also leave good feedback. Either way I think that the more feedback the better it is for everyone and I think there is less feedback then there could be.
