Suggestion Idea: Have clear policy in place to justify deletion of posts.
Description:
Explain the criteria for deleting posts
one of the all time high scores thread in general discussion was just deleted...it had thousands of views, many responses, and it was deleted when another one was started by a different player for a different reason
I was absolutely amazed it was deleted. So few posts are deleted. There are so many that are duplicated, triplicated, quadruplicated...etc.
Many go without many responses or only a handful, and seem to have no interest beyond that.
It seems that thread was deleted because the moderator that deleted it...and I have to assume which one did...disagreed with it.
There was nothing objectionable in the post, no profanity, no flaming, just an in depth discussion about the points, how they were won, who won the most etc...there were many interesting Ideas that got deleted in here, and I am absolutely astonished.
In the past Ive seen duplicate posts merged, but never just wiped out like this.
It would be helpful to understand the policy regarding deletion of posts, because I see it done almost never, and this one seems to be due to simply bias of one mod, which makes me question the fairness to a large degree.
Before I add anything to a discussion, I would like to know what the chances of it being deleted are, so I know if Im wasting my time
