- When a player misses a turn in a freestyle game, do not penalize the previous player.
Specifics/Details:
- I’m in a freestyle game that is down to the last two players.
- The other player just missed a turn
- The game reset and the other player now has 12 hours to not only take a turn, but also be rewarded after the turn with a second set of troops.
- Is this fair?
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
- Let’s look at how this is an advantage or a strategy to follow:
- It’s my turn in a two player freestyle game.
- I’m due 20 troops.
- If I take my turn on time, I get my 20 troops, the game resets, and I have to wait for the other player to move before I can do anything else
- If I purposely delay the game, the game resets and blocks the other player (who was the last player to make an "actual" move) for 12 hours
- I delay another 5 hours until I feel the other player is not on line
- I take my turn and get my 20 troops, make my assaults, and reinforce.
- Then, as an added bonus for delaying the game I get another 20 troops to sure up my defenses
- How is it fair to reward a player for delaying the game like that
- The game should at least reset so that both players can move
- Better yet, the missed turn was the other players move and the player who missed his turn has to wait for the player who did not miss a turn to move first.
- If multiple players miss a turn this way, block all of them until someone else starts a move or 12 hours whichever comes first
