That would be very interesting! And practical! As long as people not used to it would be able to turn it on and off, that would be awesome!

I agree with this so much, I'll put it in scientific notation: YES x 10^20

Would you only have 1 buddy to chat with?
How would you be able to "switch" among you're buddies? or would it only be possible to have 1?

I like the idea

I think you should be able to speak to those that you have add them at the friend list and they have done the same and in addition they are online (even if they have their status hidden).

How about the system my MSN application uses?
You can invite a third, fourth, etc. person to your chat.
So if you want to speak to person B and C, go to the Interaction menu, click Open a Chat, type in the name of player B. A chat window pops up inside the webpage, you click the little 'Invite' button on the top left of the chat window, type in the name of player C, and you all start blabbing about :D

Good idea, but this is damn hard to implement since we do not have normal chat options in CC. PMs and walls are not the same.

So you can forget about it for another ... lots of time.

Of course. But I feel like knowing which way we're heading eventually, with specific goals to make this a modern website, cannot possibly be a bad thing. :)

I agree that adding more "social" aspect to CC would be great. I don't know where we are heading but I think we are not heading there.
