Concise description:
Instead of just a single, alphabetical drop-down list either modify it by "play type" OR offer that option as an alternative (another drop-down list, perhaps even apart from the game finder.. say in Instructions)

(note this has not been updated for a long time... I WILL do so, but only if there is interest in this idea)
Or another way, such as this:
Standard play maps -- those maps based on the classic ( basic regional bonuses, 1 for every 3 regular territories owned), but with varied maps.
Almost standard maps -- basically like above, but may have bombardment or some other simple feature.
Railroad maps
Resource Pair maps
ETC.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
One problem for newer people particular, but also older players, is just deciding which maps to play. These groupings are based strictly on the rules, etc. I am absolutely open to modification, but want to know if there is interest before doing more on this idea.
