Foe Script Suggestion

Postby 72o on Thu Nov 12, 2009 10:33 am

Concise description:
As has been suggested and shot down thousands of times, people want a way to prevent certain ranks, scores, turn percentages, ratings, genders, religions, etc. from joining their games.

Specifics:
Someone (not me, I'm not smart enough, but there are some really smart people here who make awesome scripts) could make a greasemonkey script to allow you to auto-foe everyone with a turn percentage of less than 95%, or lower than a 1300 score, or whatever they want their criteria to be.

The site will never add this as a feature, because they don't want people to limit the number of people who join. However, this would be a user-created way to manipulate the foe lists that people already use manually.

I know that I am on a lot of foe lists because at one time my rank was low, or because my turn percentage is low. This is essentially the same thing as that, only it wouldn't force people to go through hundreds of pages on the scoreboard foeing people one at a time.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
Prevent the repetition of requesting this feature over and over. Provide something many many people obviously want.

I like the concept - there's times where I don't want wasters to join my games, so being able to set a minimum Turn Taken percentage would handle that nicely. I'm not going to use that on every game, but in the same way I'm not going to make every game Chained or Escalating.

Being an Agile Coach, I'd like to see the Devs do a User Story estimate of how much work this is to implement ;-)
