Not quite --
200,000 members is not the sampled population. The sampled population is "those members who visited the Suggs and Bugs forum in the time this thread has been here"...
THAT number is far, far lower ... more like the 100's not 100,000's
Further, of those, how many saw it when it was near the top/first page? Not many of those who visit the forums look past the first few post. And a good number more just won't vote in polls. (and there are actually a lot of other issues)
SO, while I do not know the true percentage ... saying that only .02% of the CC community agrees is incorrect.
To say that, you would have to find a way to get a
representative sample of the entire CC population. Ideally, you narrow down those factors that would make a difference in how people answer. OR you take a random sample of large enough size that it probably resembles the entire CC population pretty well. This is not just a matter of finding people .. you have to actually get answers! To do it correctly is actually pretty difficult.
The best way to look at polls here is not so much as an actual yeah/nay vote, but to see if there is enough interest to warrant attention from CC management. (but whether they see it that way or not is another question ... remember THEY worry about the whole population and I suspect Lack is quite aware that the people in the forums do not necessarily have the same views as the rest of the CC population -- for that matter, most of CC just wants to play games and have fun).
