This won't work, because servers keep getting expensive, and the cost must keep up with inflation.

The price you quote "100-150" is only 4-6 years...Life expectancy now is mid 70s if not more...too much money would be lost.

you would have to deal with the problem of people selling lifetime memeberships when they grew tired of the site, or just giving them away to people who would pay.

i'm not sure what the purpose of LIfetime membership is, or what issue it is trying to resolve or position it is trying to enhance...

To anyone who thinks that a Lifetime Membership or Extended Membership idea is a bad idea, I am completely lost. If it becomes an option, it's not like you MUST utilize it. I mean, if there was a Lifetime Membership option available, I would pay for it, and I'm not kidding. I have been playing Risk for years, and CC for 2 1/2 years, and I'm not about to get tired of it. The only reason I can think of which would make a Lifetime Membership option a problem would be if someone actually played this game with that membership for years on end. Slowly but surely, the use of that account would probably eat up a lot more dough than was paid for the account. Something like that, thus people would prefer for you to just pay every year. But blah blah blah, give the idea a chance. I really like it. Also, as mentioned in previous posts, there are other potential problems with a Lifetime Membership, but I am not going to delve into those.

again, i'll say, what exactly is a Lifetime Membership supposed to do?

you can just renew forever and be a lifetime member now
i guess lack could allow you to pay based on your age for a forever membership

lifetime expectancy based on country of residence and sex - current age X yearly membership price (maybe he can knock off a few years if you send him a pic of you smoking or working in a coal mine)

if the point is to show that you are somehow a super-duper member, than paying some cutthroat price for a unlimited membership doesn't do much in my opinion, and just opens up the possibility of people reselling the thing when they quit; but if you want to show your gratitude, go ahead and pre-pay for life, that would mean something.
