Revised ignore list for multiplayer games

Concise description:

• Change the way the ignore list works for games with more than 2 players

Specifics:

• For every game with more than 2 players, at least half of the people currently in the game must have the player on their ignore list before he is prohibited from joining.
• Example: 8 player speed game. Player A has player E on his ignore list, but players B, C and D do not have player E on their ignore list. Player E can join the game.
• Game chat still cannot be seen by those who have the player on their ignore list.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

• Games will fill up faster.
• One person cannot prevent everyone else from playing with someone.
• It doesn't annoy the person that they cannot play a big game just because of one person who has them on ignore.
• It is a majority rules system, so more than half of the people will be happy with having a certain person in their game.

I dislike this this suggestion. A lot of the people on my foe list, are there because they have a habit of screwing up multiplayer games, with horrible strategy. I don't want to play against them, and if someone else in the game wants to play them, they can do it another time.

I like it, however, I think that foes list should block someone from playing on the same team, and instead of half, what about Two members (usually, if there's more than one, there is an actual problem)

It's not just wump (don't get me wrong, he's usually an ass (sorry, but I had to say it))

I am on higher ranked players foe list because I am able to beat them on certain maps, not necessarily because I cheat or play dirty.

This abuse of the foe list is the reason we shouldn't even have a foe list. It's fine for single player games, but something must be done in games with more than 2 players.

There is a better suggestion to deal with this ... the OPTION to create games where ignore lists are not honored.

I dislike any "wholesale" disuse of ignore lists because the few people I have on my list DESERVE to be there. I don't want to play games with them.

The exception, as was noted in previous discussions (note the "s"!!!) were tournaments and Battles Royale games. Anyone joining those games should just be told "ignore lists will not be honored in this game type".


I am, however, posting a related suggestion ... namely that there be some limitation on folks who are on a lot of ignore lists.
