only 30 days for new players to play for free

Postby azezzo on Tue Aug 26, 2008 11:18 pm

only allow freemiums a 30 day pass

]

Specifics:
30 days is more than enough time to decide if you like the site, and or get tired of only fremium privelages

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

this should dramatically reduce or eliminate the ever growing community of multiple accounts

Yes, this gets rid of the multis, but it affects hundreds of freemiums like me that enjoy the game, play by the rules, and (not necessarily me) enrich the site. I admit, my opinion is biased, but I don't think this should be implemented. Besides, the "good" multis will just be able to create more after their 30 day pass has expired, and the "bad" multis will get caught anyway, so I don't think it would work.

I'm not sure if I like this idea either.....what happens when my premium runs out? Am I banned? What if I'm still in games?

this will never happen, originally (for several months) all features of the site were free (including speed games for a few weeks), freemies will always be welcome.

It won't get rid of multis - it will create more.

If there are only 30 days try out period, and if the person does not buy premium, what do they do then? What if they get addicted but cannot afford to pay for premium? They'll create more accounts of course! To do the try out period all over again.

ok, some good points
what if for freemiums only 1, 30 day trial period per I.P. address
and as far as $25 being too exspensive, i disagree. over the course of the year that comes out to less than 7 cents a day.

you don't seem to listen to me, This will not be implemented, CC was completely free, and then adeded Premium 'Special Features' but they will never force everyone to upgrade.

and, what about two people that play from the same house, only one of them would be able to get the trial, and there are ways around this block as well.

as i understand it, when a premium membership expires the member gets to finish all games he is in, could take quite a while depending on how many games and style there of.

yes, that's the way it currently works, and once they are below 4 games, they can start joining games again.
