Ability to track games

Postby Fire Mario on Fri Aug 15, 2008 4:06 pm

Concise description: Add an option to track games that you are not playing in.

Specifics:
This would be in a tab on the my games page so that whatever games that you want to check on often ( Ex: Tournament games for Tournament organisers) for easy access to the game. These would come off this list after X number of days after the game is completed, or removed from the track list manually if a person no longer wants to track it. On menus where different games are listed, It would have a link that says "Track game" that when clicked, adds that game to the tracked game list. Similiarly, if a player wants to remove a tracked game, The link would say something like "Remove Track" that when clicked, removes the game from the track list (in case someone accidentily clicks Track game instead of join/enter game). These links would not appear on games the player has joined.

This will improve the following aspects of the site: It would allow Tournament organisers to easily keep track of games in tournaments faster than going through the game finder.
A person might find a game that a friend is playing in and might want to check it often to see how his/her friend is doing.

An option like this has been discussed before. This might be on the to-do list for tournament organizers, but I'm not 100% sure.

That's because it's not here, it's one of the special improvements.
