This is in the rules... its not a bug. You lose undeployed armies. It can honestly be tough to finish in an hour if your on a big map with multiple fronts to defend and playing esc trying to spread around 60 armies or something to make a multi-pronged follow up take=out attempt, or just try to cover your weakest areas. It nearly happened to me on NYC with four player esc in about the 15th round with bonuses at around 45, two opponents close to the takeout point, but spread at opposite ends of the map... very dicey. Obviously failure to deploy was not as much a concern as starting the takeout and then timing out in the middle.

There should be some way to tack on a few minutes to a turn - at least put the clock on a five minute hold or something - while you deploy in esc. For 10 units in classic, there are at most 10 ways you can slice it up, so I'm not too sympathetic with your example.
My ever constant two last games seem to have no end in sight!

It's to prevent people from doing exactly what you tried to do. Wait till the last second to cash in escalating for the biggest cash - if you can't do it, don't wait so long. No bug, nor should it be changed.

I have had this happen in several games . . . especially when the game server was having problems. Also similar event for standard deployments. The log showed armies received but not deployed as the connection was interupted. I thought they would be given at the end of my next turn, but they simply never appeared.

I still get a too many timeouts, but am unsure if it is my pc or the server. In either event, I would not think it happens enough to cause a statistical difference in ones score.

Should we deployed the bonus armies (cards) not assigned at the end of the next turn.

In this case, time was not an issue as I lost Internet for more than 24h (issue on the provider side).

Don't change gameplay because of internet connection problems.
