Rollover / Shared Fortifications

Postby blakebowling on Fri Jun 06, 2008 8:28 pm

<EDIT> My suggestion is for a new version of chained and adjacent, not to modify the current version.</EDIT>
Concise description:
  • In chained and adjacent fortifications if you choose to use your fortification, then the game will continue as normal. However if you do not use your fortification, it will rollover to your next turn (in team matches it will become part of a "shared forts bank" that anyone in your team can use).

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • It will increase the number of people who use the chained, and adjacent forts.
  • It will put a whole new twist into gameplay
  • It will create a new way that teammates can help each other.

I don't really like the idea for all chained/adjacent, but I think it would be a good option to have around and it might make the game kinda cool. There should be a max of three forts a turn, though.

a fort counter could be added to a new version of bob.

I like it, but I don't think enough people would use it to justify adding it to the site. That's especially true since, in theory, you could play this type of fort without the sit adding it. You could easily create a thread in the callout forum detailing your idea and people could just play it, keeping track of the forts.

But if Lack wants to move forward with the idea, I'll support it.

I love it, this is how me and my family play you get 3 adjacent forts a turn any you don't use you can use next turn up to 5. We use the same for units but we hide those as a shock method

no, it wont.
all it would do is increase the amount of people using "shared forts" from Zero, to probably 1, you.

  • It will put a whole new twist into gameplay

thats what everyone says, it would put more strain on gp as mibi said:

They would have to put a counter in with the update, but I don't see it as necessary. Cards didn't use to have a card counter.
