Circle's around Armies

Postby kjtocool on Mon Jan 21, 2008 4:51 pm

Can you please make this an option, similar to color codes?

I personally can't stand the circles, and would like an option to turn them off.

The army circles are part of the actual map image, so theres currently no possibility to make the army circles optional. Theres a small chance it might happen in the distant future, but i doubt it because it would be a hassle to change all the maps already in play.

edit: and if talking specifically about the new classic map, theres an ongoing discussion happening in the foundry discussion subforum.

classic map needs put back the way it was....it wasnt broke so why "fix" it?

its terrible to play on now....

while im on the subject the new colour esp the similar ones, red n orange are way to hard to make out and the colour code is hard to play with, cant we make bore extreme colour differences?

Sure there is:

if (option == true) {
map_with_circles.jpg
}
else {
map_without_circles.jpg
}

Something like the above would work fine, you just need two images, one with circles, one without.

Thats true, but all current maps have the army circles on them. The way you put it though, it doesnt seem to complicated though, we would just have to have some graphic artists in the foundry agree to help remove army circles.
