Not true at all, its because of how loved you are of course.

Now Blitz, lets be clear here. 1). I freely admit that you are a better player than I am and that if we played 1v1 you'd win 65-70% of the time in all liklihood. 2). You also know from your own experience that those of us who play mostly in tournaments don't get the high rankings that you value. That is not to say that tournament players aren't as good as highly ranked players or that they enjoy losing and the fact that you continue to imply such things even after watching your own rank plummet when you started playing tournaments is a bit disingenuous. 3). There are a number of G1 players who could be much higher ranked if they concentrated on their own personal optimal settings, whether that be team games, City Mogul, Circus maximus or whatever. The fact is that most of us in G1 like to try a variety of things. The high point total, which you seem to think is the only value of worth, is not the goal of everyone and its clearly insulting to say that because it isn't that we're losers. I take great personal exception to that particular remark of yours but I will accept your public apology when it comes. Having a desire to grow beyond someone's comfort level is rarely the description of a loser, in fact, usually it is the opposite that is true.

You guys should bring in a ringer (who would crush Blitz 1v1). ;)

One of the things that I appreciate about this challenge is the opportunity to play on Random maps. I find that the scoreboard is often a poor indicator of the quality of a player because several high ranked players have gained many of their points from one or two maps and settings. I appreciate the skills of players who play a wide range of maps and settings demonstrating a well rounded ability. Thanks to TOFU for accepting the random maps so we can all challenge ourselves to be well rounded players and enjoy getting to know some other quality players on CC.

Amen! TOFU will be a top 3 clan soon enough and they aren't afraid to take on any kind of challenge. They deserve respect for that!

Keep it up guys....I'm taking notes here ('Maps to avoid with G1 are Crossword, City Mogul, Circus Maximus'...any more?) ;)

I don't think Blitz meant to be disrespectful or inflammatory - it's also a bit of fun just to make a prediction on the outcome of others' games, i.e. all part of the CC experience. I do think he might have got his sums wrong though!

I have nothing but the greatest respect for your squad at G1. Not only is each of you a very affable person, but you're always a formidable opponent in any team game. I've lost count of the number of occasions I've come up against bones, barterer, dtellis, amazzony, timminz, adonis and others in tournies and always been afforded a great battle. You excel in the team format and are obviously great communicators.

I for one never take any game against your crew lightly, and I'm also very appreciative of the fact you accepted a challenge from a clan that's riding a wave at the moment =D>

Best wishes for the remainder of our series,

Si

G1 Ahead? Pfffffftt. We got them right where we want them. We are letting them gather large amounts of men and territories and then we're going to strike with a small, elite force to take them out. It's the Guerrilla warfare approach.

I like this. You're surrounded? Excellent! You can now attack in all directions all once.

What are you talking about bones? seriously? do you even have a clue about this game and the clans? the ladder means very little. TOFU IS a top 3 clan and was a top 3 clan easily when they first formed. Anyone on CC that is any good that has played them a ton already knows they are awesome.

I meant no disrespect to you or your clan, I was just just telling you my 30-10 or 28-12 Tofu slaughter for my prediction because you obviously did NOT realize how good they are and you are a little out of your league for playing them, anyways, I do not mean for that to sound rude. Just stating my opinion in which I have a right to do. I like some in the G1 clan (much respects I have for barterer2002--he has a lot of class) and you guys are a good clan, but TOFU is a Powerhouse, a strong force that is quite the mismatch for most. That is all I meant by them winning by a landslide. Do NOT personalize it and let me rent space in your head for free, rather just accept it and have fun to borrow your words. Peace

This is why everyone in G1 realizes he's a child. Guess he didn't realize that I WAS calling TOFU a top 3 clan. I also notice that he didn't realize that I was poking at his clan for being chicken (as opposed to TOFU) since they are afraid to accept challenges on all random maps or against the entire lineup of a clan. They can only win on their fixed maps.

TOFU, in my opinion, is the best. And they'll prove it eventually.

you are clueless bones. we are playing TSM currently and maybe AOD next, we just got done with LOW in which several of LOW went to TOFU after we beat them, so, in a way, we just kind of got done playing some of them in Tofu. There is many other clans that have waited much longer to play us and deserve their chances too. We already spanked you boney and won 41 of 60 games (close to 70%), so pipe down. You dislike me chatting in here? Stop posting your non sense and try to win a game. As far as random, lol, I love it, I can play any and all maps, I prefer the complexity, the basic maps are easy and str8 forward and I like my chances, the more complex, I like my chances more. bones, stop pm'ing jp and ratting, all I did was make my prediction, which I have the right to do, you personalized it, i said i meant no disrespect, but, here you go again try to fuel this, let it go and play. It is my opinion. Get over it.

lol. You're a great sport mate. A lot of kudos goes your way from the guys in TOFU and we all hold you in the highest esteem (yes....you're a subject of debate in our forum!).

I'm pleased you went on to win that 2.1 and earn a few points that will fill our coffers over the next month or so  I honestly thought yellow had that game by the nads but i think you might have pulled the old card trick on him at the crunch. When you elim'd me I don't know if you noticed but I held 2 pairs, so I was done like a dog's dinner anyway.

If you want easy points just invite me to a multiplayer singles esc game. I've now won a whopping 1 of my last 28 games :(

All the best,

Chariot (on a rocky downhill road)

This is part of the issue Blitz. It is sometimes nice to play against superior players. Even if you're correct and Tofu slaughters G1 its irrelevant. IMO it is only those who are foolish who are afraid to play others whether it be someone who is better or someone to whom you'll lose a lot of points to.

For me, the game becomes boring if you never are challenged and never seek to grow better. There are certainly some who find other challenges such as accumulating medals or reaching conqueror or whatever challenge and I take nothing away from those accomplishments however the idea that we should not be playing Tofu becaue they are "out of our league" is just silly.

Quite right mate - go out and seek the best and learn whatever you can from them.

I like to think I'm pretty rock solid on Waterloo nowadays, but I stank when I first played it (as a quick search will tell you). So I went out of my way to find the best practitioner of the map I could (just happened to be Bald Adonis imo) and play a series of games with him. After a couple of defeats I sussed out his technique and how to counter it, and haven't looked back since.

I'm not sure you'll glean a lot from our challenge, as team games are harder to dissect than singles unless you meticulously look at each move, but I hold a lot of stock for you guys in that you accepted our challenge and - win or lose - will hopefully end up better-off at its conclusion.

CoF :D

Prediction: All involved in the challenge will enjoy themselves, playing high-quality team games. Some not involved will wander in to talk. I like talk. Words are pretty.

And now for some words of wisdom from everyone's favourite television program.
Some of them act badly because they've had a hard life, or have been mistreated...but, like people, some of them are just jerks.

Best of luck to both clans!

Little update. Most of the games of the first half is completed or are in the end phase. Batch 3 games have been started. Batch 4 (last one) will start in 6-7 days.

Prediction for first 20 games:
6-14, TOFU leads.
