umm anything going to happen..... It always seemed like I was busted like right as the thread was made.

The key is patience, it takes some time when the people are not glaringly obvious and creating 15 multis in a week. Or was it a day?

Guys remember riles is only 10 years old. Lets not throw down the book, just yet. Many times these players can learn from their mistakes.

Mystique had 9 multis for the second time and played nearly fifty 1v1 games against 'them' with a 100% win ratio. It still needed a C&A report and nearly a month to get a verdict on said C&A report. Could you please define 'glaringly obvious'?

I cannot define glaringly obvious because I am not a hunter, and I am not privy to the information used in making a bust.

Frop you must remember these hunters have real lives as well. They do not spend 100% of their lives looking for mutlis on an online game. There are many cases to process, so time is needed to look thru all the info. Sure we would all like faster results, but I will take a slower paced, but more accurate approach.

I have no idea how the hunters would punish this one, but what do you all think should happen to the accused player? Multis are busted while those in a secret alliance are blocked from playing with each other. Yes, he asked for an alliance, but who's the other player to get blocked with? Where's the points gained for a reset? From my point of view, what's the punishment that would fit this almost crime??

I have a few ideas.

If anyone has been busted for cheating, even just once, put a cheater icon next to their name for all to see.

This might be enough punishment because the other players might gang up on these people - like in Full Metal Jacket when they beat that guy in his bunk with a bar of soap.

That would be the simplest solution.

If they don't cheat again the icon could go away after a few weeks.

1st offense - 2 weeks
2nd offense - 3 months
3rd offense - permanent cheater icon

Or you can have a setting that says "don't join games with cheaters" that will disallow any cheater from entering your game. That would protect other players the most.

Farang, that solution doesn't work because it's not a currently available option. You have to choose from the options/tools that are available right now and not what may or may not be available in the future (unless we want this one to stay pending for a really long time).

score reset then

In all likelihood this will be "Noted". Nothing will happen at this point, but if the situation arises again, then this will be taken into consideration.

It's his second offense, just get rid of him altogether.

For the record, pm's are not always taken as an immediate solid proof to validate someone's guilt. There are also some other information to consider before a verdict is finalized.

For this case, if there will be more games with evidences and can be proven that he had secret diplomacies or cheated with a number of his victories besides this game, then we can arrange a heavier penalty. Until then, as what was mentioned, this shall be noted.
