Comments: BT.Tissot sent me a PM (it's still in my Inbox) asking for a truce. I didn't reply with a PM. In the game chat I explained that these things must be proposed in the public game chat. I later explained that I'd received a PM, asked the offer be made in game chat, pointed to the rule and where to verify it. BT.Tissot didn't come clean so I named his username in the game chat. He said he didn't know about the rule and that he's "receive[d] so many PM like that in other game[s he] thought it was usuall." I don't think he should be punished because there wasn't any harm done here, tho an admin should ask him about the other deals he's been offered. I'll leave him a neutral feedback after the game so there's a record of it, in case it happens again.

Noted. And I sent him a warning message with a link to the rule stating that it was illegal.

The short answer is yes. But you must first announce the truce/alliance in the in game chat.

But according to this, can't players decide upon a truce outside of the game and then announce it within the chat before it's acted upon?? This way the askee doesn't get pounded on for trying to align with someone.
