In the same Terminator game... you guys probably weren't aware MY1101 can't play for Updalions in that game despite you're from the same clan.

I'll let admins and MH's deal with it.

Fuzzy area given that its a team event? The ruling will be important given that we have team terminators included in our upcoming war v FAD.

Considering it's only round 4 and these turns are not very crucial for the game combined with how updalions did not all play to his own advantage, I'd advise against anything more than a warning. Honest mistakes like these happen. It would be different if it would, for example, be a game-winning sweep or at least game-deciding sweep later on or if updal and I understand mods probably prefer to look at the actions, not the reasoning, but please consider taking a turn like this instead of letting him miss it actually improves the game for the other participants.

Ban them both and the rest of FISO just to make sure this doesn't happen again. Stealing all our jobs f*ck sake.

Sitting will be permitted in our tie-breaker terminator games for our war, all good with us.

Being the TO of this event I think we should have look at this between the Team Leader first before opening and "bothering" the C&A team .

I went and look at the game log as a first part of my investigation, yeah it appears that the randomly setup group has 2 team mate into the same group therefore playing into the same game, I'm not sure any action has to be taken here since MY1101 dropped troops and take a 1 troop territory for his team mate (updalions). I don't see any abuse nor cheating in this (I didn't setup a sitting rule into this event and for all sports). The sitting action from MY1101 will not benefit his own turn neither.

Remember, this whole event is mainly based as a Large Team competition, I agree that it would be better to have a sitter that isn't part of the same game but maybe their wasn't any other choice at this time, that is maybe a rule I can insert into the event main thread that apply only for game where team mate are playing into the same group, lucky is that if a rule is establish now it won't change that above game because the sitting wasn't "malicious".

I know for sure that updalions was off this weekend, coincidently I was facing updalions in a best of 5 match part of a separate tournament (Random 1v1x8) and I played against his sitters all weekend long. I know that was 1v1 and not a Terminator multi player game but this should eliminate the "cheating" aspect of this claim.

Almost did the same thing myself previously sitting for another clan member, have to say if they've got a lot of games going that you have to play as well as your own I do sometimes sort of go into auto-pilot mode and don't always register these sorts of things, especially for a larger game such as this where your not so heavily involved. In my instance I noticed at the last minute and another clan member was available to cover. But if no one else had been available would I have done the same as MY? Probably to be honest, afterall it is still a team game and not being fog you don't gain anything view-wise.

And yes I can confirm, as Mad said, that I was away, and a very good weekend was had

All of you must understand I didn't open this thread because of the "cheating" aspect.
I opened it solely because it broke the rules.
I don't care how this will be ruled out and I don't care if someone will be prosecuted for it.

My action was not intended as cheating, nor to obtain any other gains. I just wanted to help out when I could see Updalions was close to missing turns in several games (less than two hours). I wasn't sure if it would be feasible for me to act on behalf of Updalions, so I checked the official clan sitting rules:

I couldn't really see this particular case being covered, so I went for the assumption that since it's a clan game and teamevent I would be ok in this taking the two hour rule emergency cover in consideration. I actually covered Updalions in 3 teamevent games, #16552936 and #16552934 as well.

I'm very sorry for all this, but hope this eventually will bring clarification for future similar events.

Well this turned out to be an unusual case. Generally, it is against the Account Sitting Guideline:

Can I let another player take a turn for me when I am away from the game?

Players are allowed to account-sit for others as long as they are not opponents within the game. It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence. Babysitters should only do what is necessary to take the turn(s) and should not interact with the community, start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). Furthermore, you should only take another player's turn if they are in danger of missing a turn, not for the purpose of gaining a tactical advantage.

However, as the Tournament Organizer stepped in and gave his opinion about this instance, and under the special setup of the tournament, I will go with his viewpoint that it didn't affect the game as he sees no malicious intent coming from the accused. Seeing that both the accused has posted in this report, I'll take it that this will serve as your unofficial warning and reminder about the Account Sitting Guideline and expect that you won't repeat this again.
