Accused:

Flape

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Deliberately throwing a game he thought he could not win anymore

Game number(s):

Game 7048441

Comments:

Picture the following situation: There are 5 players left in the game. Three did not hold any bonuses but still had one stack of about 40-60 troops. Two players were receiving good income (10-16 each turn). One of them was me. In my opinion, I played that game near perfectly (if such a thing exicts) until the following point: Flape cashed in a group of 10 from cards and threw is whole stack (45 troops) at my wall of 55 troops. After that he only had 3 troops left devided over three regions (three regions with one troop each). After him, idusmars (the other player with a loot of troops) takes his turn and sweeps the three remaining regions from Flape and breaks me because my wall was already down.
Of course, it is no problem if they work together. However, in this case, Flape intentionally threw the game by suiciding. Regardless of the other players involved (if it against me or if I benefit), I don't think this is acceptable behavior. In my opinion, its really abusive and detrimental for game experience if people start throwing games by suiciding on one player so they can start a new game. Although, I'm not 100% sure if this is against the rules, I chose to still report it. Maybe someone with authority can tell him that this is ruining games.

A second thing, although I have absolutely no proof whatsoever, I suspect Flape and idusmars of coordinating this move outside the chat. This because game Game 7048441 is a 'fogged' game. And idusmars could not have known that the wall was down. One turn before idusmars already scouted my wall and decided he was not able to break it alone. There was no chatting between these two turns that coordinated this move and still he moved in again after Flape suicided.

I would really apreciate it if these two things can be investigated.

Kind regards,

Sepp Jansen

I fail to see the secret diplomacy. You were attacking flape constantly from round 17. As far as idusmars knowing your wall was down it is possible that he saw it when he want after flape.

Feel free to rate these players according to how you feel but Flape and idusmars are CLEARED of secret diplomacy.

Ok. Thnx for looking into it.

The reason why I constantly took a region of Flape that game, was because I was completely surrounded by regions held by him. He was big somewhere halfway, but decided he could not hold any longer and moved his troops to one region. Therefore, I had a lot of regions that were free to capture.

But what about suiciding a stack of 45 troops at one player jujst to leave the game afterwards? I was fortunate that the other players were quite weak, but normally that costs me the game.

As it seems not to be against the rules, all I can do is rate Flape accordingly and foe him. I hope that this will not become a common thing to do.

Throwing a Game is against the rules, but i think it is meant to be for throwing more than 1. I could be wrong though

Like you said the other players were quite weak. So he had a choice, let you get stronger until you decided to take him out or pray the dice gods were on his side.

Haven't we all played a game where we decided that we were being singled out by someone else and decided that " I can't win this game I will not let him win." Now we are getting into telling someone what strategy to use while playing the game.

Now if he makes a habit of suicide then we can look into it some more.

Oke. Tnx for your answer.

ps. with 'weak' I did not meant weak as in number of troops, but weak as in 'weak player.' I could only come back because the other players made huge mistakes.
