i entered this discussion after what appeared that Lord V was being inconsistent with his rulings, you then explained that his ruling occured prior to the dayman calling the op a faggot, I am not upset that Lord V is enforcing the rules, but rather that the rules have changed and the enforcement of said rules is inconsistent , perhaps you are correct that this is not the best place to bring that up, a mod can feel free to move my posts to a more correct location. I will get off my soap box now. Feel free to go back to protecting the children.

Maybe in time the enforcement of the rules will balance out in consistency, much like it's maps and formats, this site has evolved a lot since I've been here. If dayman thinks that is a clever slang term to use as a put down, then maybe it's time someone pointed it out to him that his derogatory choice of words is not ok. I believe a reprimand for this expression of ignorance goes beyond "protecting the children" and is simply the start of correcting a behavior that has been widely tolerated far too long. This isn't a censorship issue and is not about being thin skinned or overly sensitive, it's an acknowledgment that bigoted language is not acceptable.

But for you to even question and be upset about bigotry being disciplined absolutely confirms your proper place on foe lists. Defending bigotry and racism is just as bad as using it yourself.

I did not say i broke the rules, rather i have been in games with players the likes of codeblue1018, extratobasco, demonfork, Torter_of_Worlds, etc who have gotten rather colorful with the use of the english language.

Jefjef your a fucking waste of sperm, I sure hope that isnt mistaken as bigotry or racism. I was not so much upset about what occurred as i was about the lack of consistency in the way the mods hand out punishment, and as far as questioning authority is a bad thing, your a tool.

on a side note jefjef in game chat declares he is foeing me in a doubles game because my partner and i were taking our alotted 5 minutes in a speed game to discuss moves, a real classless sore loser

Oh! Sorry about that, I had you confused with alstergren, who first replied to this thread. Guess I got the 'a' names mixed up in my head.

If this happens in other games, it should be enforced there as well. That was a long time ago, but I would hope that if this is brought to the attention of mods in games that are occurring, they would be consistent in their actions.

You have to report it, if it happens on game chat. There is no way the Mods can catch all of them. On the forum, they can do searches, but not on Game Chats.

Harassing

* Banter and some trash talking IS allowed in the Game Chats, so don't waste time complaining about that.
* You may not be used to hearing or reading those "four-letter words", but some people do and will use them. This isn't a reason to open a complaint about the player; just kindly ask them to stop or ignore them.
* What is not allowed is any form of bigotry or other flames as outlined in the Forum Guidelines. Please report any such comments that you find offensive.


Rule Enforcement

* Breaking the Game Chat rules will typically earn you a warning for your first offense.
* Continually disregarding the rules will earn some time away ranging from short vacations to permanent bans depending on the nature and number of the violations.

Yes, Conquer Club takes a fairly liberal approach to what is said in Game Chats, but there are some deeds that should be dealt with by a moderator. In no circumstances is bigotry allowed.

* Bigotry includes racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, religion bashing, lack of religion bashing, or wishing violence on any minority group, etc.
* Bigotry takes into account historic events, emotional baggage and generally accepted associations with a term, phrase or intent - posting "White Power" in a thread has a history and is bigoted, posting "Green Power" makes you an environmentalist.
