A quick Google confirms the following:misterman10 wrote:AAFitz wrote:misterman10 wrote:So some rules should be implemented and others not. This is clearly against the rules just as secret alliances and having multiple accounts. Rules are rules, and they should not be broken.

it says "i.e" that means for example
The above may be clearer in 100% English as "Do not fish for feedback (that is to say leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return)."the instructions wrote:Do not fish for feedback (i.e. leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return).

it says "i.e" that means for example
ie - Latin "id est" - means "that is (to say)"
eg - Latin "exempli gratia" - means "for example" or "for the sake of example"
The two abbreviations are not therefore interchangeable and hence AAFitz's argument stands. The above may be clearer in 100% English as "Do not fish for feedback (that is to say leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return)."the instructions wrote:Do not fish for feedback (i.e. leave positive feedback to get positive feedback in return).
