It almost seems like it's too early to tell. It looks like he left his border with you unguarded as well, and you just lost the roll in a 2v1 situation. There may have been more armies involved though, but I don't get the privledge of knowing how many armies were on each location before your turn.

It will be either much more obvious after the next couple of rounds.
