Meh, I speak french, and they are clearly anouncing an alliance, and trying to get you killed.

But they stated a 2 rounds alliance..Which is normally by the rules..but.

How the hell do they knew they both talked french first?

How is it possible to assume that because people communicate in a language other than English, they are cheating?

If they are discussing an alliance (and using the French language to communicate that alliance to all game players because it is displayed in chat) then they are in compliance with the rules, it seems to me.

I try to use an online translator to discover what is being said.

I see no reason that anyone should assume that English is the official language of Conquer Club.

There is NO violation of any rule because alliance was suggested by means of another language. So, what is the point of this complaint/thread. Also, it's highly amusing that so many commented, and no one thought it odd that all comments are in English.

Did anyone stop to think that the "frenchies" couldn't even know they were being denounced as "cheats" and so could not defend themselves?

Doesn't anyone see the absurdity in having translated their discussion of an alliance, and seeing that they clearly were discussing an alliance in open chat (albeit in a language other than English) as proof positive that they are playing in good faith?

That said, I still think that anyone making an alliance in this game is, by definition, a weasel. Alliances are for turds, and poor players. Merde.

Try reading the 'Rules' page before you make yourself look silly again:

"Any form of collusion between opponents must be announced beforehand in the game chat, in English or in a language all players understand"

Agreed, Its simple, they are allowed to use frensh to make arrangement, hell they can even pm each other, but once an agreement has been reached you must announce it in english in chat. Since they did not even after being told to speak english, its an offence. Also, its simply not nice to talk shop together in a language most cannot follow, thats simply very impolite. Now if they happen to know no english, how do you suppose they stumbled on this game, or work out how to play.

Do you, jpliberty, suggest that the rules do not apply to anybody who speaks an other language save english? I think thats a bit shortsighted

improper yes,
against the rules, well yes as far as I can tell.

possible punishment, block at most I would guess, after all its not really a major thing here. I dont know what I would do, but then I have it easy, I am not a mod.
