That game is now jamming up one of my 4 slots when we could have had it finished and over with yesterday,

Well I know how to solve that, a small yearly donation to the site will get you unlimited games!! Then you don't need to worry about it if a player is delaying the end of a game. I bet if he wanted to, he could wait 23 hours:59 minutes to play every turn and make that game last a month.

Have you ever played USA 2.1 on fog/trench? It's horrendous to finish. And yes, it is polite to say Gg, I'll db. Waiting 3 turns to get the win then having to play 20 turns to get every territory.

Yeah I have played a couple games on that map with fog trench. Anyway the fact still stands that it is deadbeating and against the rules. Also it would probably be quicker if morff69 just played out those turns instead of deadbeating. If you look at the game it was a two player and those can be finished rather quickly when both players are online at the same time.

You can't predict that without knowing how often both players would play. If I was losing, I would drop and end.

Deadbeating takes precisely 24 hours.
Taking a turn within that time is bound to take less, unless they start it after 23 hours but then fail to finish it, which would just be dumb. The other person would still need to take their subsequent turn within 24 hours of that.
The quickest way is definitely to take your turn, deploy, and end.

Deadbeating take 72 hours. Worst case scenario your opponent is taking turn very slowly, it would means 6 days - maximum, has to be less indeed. In the present case it took 3 days and half an hours, so 72 hours and 30 min.
Playing a turn take less than 24 hours, but there is, as pointed out before, more than 20 turns to be played. Let's assume you take 2 turns/ day, and your opponent as well, it means 10 days to finish if there is indeed 20 turns to be played.
Of course, if playing "RT" it would be faster to play the game than to db, but even playing RT it would take probably more than 1 hour, no one can affirm than the morff69 had time to be standing more than 1 hour playing this game.
For 1vs1 trench game, a forfeit button should be in place.
CC is guilty here.
Who want to play such a long boring already decided game ?

I know, just nobody seemed to pay attention.

The only time it's acceptable to deadbeat like that is a speed game. Why you guys are even discussing it for a casual game I have no idea.
