OK, has anyone ELSE had this problem: I dl GIMP, but there's no help file. I follow the instructions and dl same. I run the .exe, and the program tells me that there's a local help file installed, but when I try to use the pull-down menu I get this error: "The GIMP help browser plug-in appears to be missing from your installation..." I've been all over the web trying to get this straight, with no luck. So is it just me, or bad karma or what? If anybody has had this problem, PLEEEAASSE let me know how it turned out. Hopefully there's a solution, somewhere.

I also have this problem, but I havent seen a need to fix it yet. Ill do some searching to see if I can find out anything :)

Also, have you tried checking/asking at gimper.net? they might be able to help.

here are some links I found, sadly none of them fix the problem though:

User Manual: <--- Pretty sure that this is whats supposed to come up when you open help files in GIMP

http://www.gimp.org/docs/

Supposed Other Manual:

http://manual.gimp.org/

Some Help Files (Firefox):

ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/help/

You can also try googling GIMP Help Files, Im sure you can find them somewhere :)

Ya know, I came across the pdf file myself, but didn't save it. Thanks for pointing me back to it. It's a heckuva lot easier than using a web browser.
