Map Reading

I've been reading the guides to map making etc., and very informitive they are. But.....

I was wondering if upon completion of a design, there is any way to play the map remote of the site. Say using IE or firefox - don't panic! I'm not planning a rival site called 'Conkers Club' or anything.

I just thought this would be a useful way to test a map, maybe with a mate, or to practice moves and strategies without getting nagged at for suiciding or weird tactics.

Like I said, just a thought. :?:

As of now the only way to play test a map is to print it off and sit with some friends over a beer playing it :)

hmm...i dont think there is a way of playing a map externally from the site (i think) but you could always play it when/if its live on the site, or you could simply print it out in big, and play it as a board game?
like you would a normal risk game?
-
the "experts" of the site will tell you if you can play it externally :)

No external play unless the artist of the map uploadeds there work to another site.

Or unless somebody steals your map for their own inferior risk style site and doesn't give the original map maker credit, and refuses to take it down.

RJ stick a copyright logo on your work from now on. It can be found in the photoshop shapes :)

That wouldn't do much good unless I actually pay and go through the process of copyrighting my work. And besides, that dude said he didn't infringe on copyright anyway since he "traced" my map and technically created his own from scratch.

But that's enough of that. I won't turn this thread into another bitch session. I had that already !
