I'd vote for:
None, 20, 30, 50, 100
This way, we keep the 100, and keep 20 and 30 (which are often used in tournaments). I haven't often run into a 40 round limitation.
Oh and btw: losing the 100 could be dangerous.
You say only 0.1% reaches 100. But you'd cut at 50... How big a percentage hits ...
